 Sarah Higginson, is a down to earth mum  of 2 almost teenage children, who has always maintained a passion for music, particularly the saxophone.

In 2005 she took up playing again quite by accident whilst enrolling her daughter for flute lessons! Vintage instruments fast became an obsession and inspired by the idea of buying & playing an older instrument decided to learn how to repad/overhaul a sax.

In 2006 she enrolled on a 3 year full time course at Newark Technical College, covering the making,repair & maintenance of the complete woodwind family.

years 2 & 3 included advanced repairs,manufacturing a complete boehm system clarinet from raw materials. She graduated with merit in June 2009.

Sarah is now an established self employed repair technician working from a modern custom built workshop at her home in West Yorkshire.
